Starting today, Indian buyers can get their hands on the new POCO X5 Pro, as it’s been officially landed in the Indian market recently. The phone has begun its first public sale in the country. However, this is not anything new but the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition.
In terms of design, the POCO X5 Pro uses a centered punch-hole screen and a rear rectangular camera module. The fingerprint recognition scanner is on the side. Our protagonist is available in three coloways of yellow, black, and blue.
One of the biggest selling points of this handset is the 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 1080×2400 resolution. This screen also supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and 900nits peak brightness.
We are dealing with a mid-ranger. So it’s logical not to see a top-notch processor inside. However, the POCO X5 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 778G chip, which is also known for a good performance. It is accompanied by 6GB / 8GB memory and 128GB / 256GB storage. There is a built-in 5000mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging.

On the front, we can find a 16MP camera that is capable of providing good selfies and HD video calls. On the opposite side, we have a triple camera system consisting of a 108MP+8MP+2MP sensors combination.
In terms of price, the 6GB + 128GB version of the POCO X5 Pro phone is priced at 22,999 Indian rupees ($278), and the 8GB + 256GB version is 24,999 Indian rupees ($303).
Well, for those who have been waiting for something more, they should know that POCO never launches smartphones that are unique. The mission of this brand is to take Xiaomi’s products that are launched in China and bring them to the global market or specific markets.
