Xiaomi has recently introduced the Xiaomi CyberDog 2, an upgraded version of its previous CyberDog model. The new version boasts improvements in both design and functionality, aiming for an even closer resemblance to a real dog while incorporating advanced intelligent features.
Xiaomi CyberDog 2 Key Features
This improved version now comes in a more compact and lighter form. With a sleek modern design, it weighs just 8.9 kilograms and stands at a height of 36.7 centimeters, similar to that of a small dog breed.
The newly unveiled Xiaomi CyberDog 2 integrates an RGB camera, an AI-supported camera, and four Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors. These capabilities are further enhanced by a variety of sensors including a LiDAR sensor, depth camera, ultrasonic sensor, fisheye lens sensor, force sensor, and two Ultra Wide Band sensors.
The combined functionality of these new sensors enables the Xiaomi CyberDog 2 to perform more realistic and coordinated movements, achieving an impressive level of balance. Its heightened intelligence also empowers it to execute various commands such as tracking individuals, mimicking actions like eating or drinking, performing tricks, and more.
Pricing and availability
Initially, the release of the Xiaomi CyberDog 2 will be limited to the Chinese market, with global availability being relatively limited. Additionally, the model offers a range of customization options, including variations in both shape and color. Priced at 12,999 yuan (about1,643 euros), it presents a distinctive combination of innovation and practicality.
