The Clipchamp program, an easy-to-use film editing tool, will soon be available to Microsoft 365 enterprise customers, according to a recent announcement from Microsoft.
Since its acquisition of the company in 2021, Microsoft has been gradually integrating Clipchamp into Microsoft 365. Initially available exclusively to Microsoft personal users, Clipchamp will now be made available to Microsoft 365 business users for testing in the coming weeks.
Developed by Clipchamp Pty Ltd, Clipchamp is an online video editing program that allows users to import, edit and export audiovisual files directly from their computer browser.
There are currently 57 filters in the application’s library of image and video effects and filters. Nine of these filters – including Warm Country, Dreamland, Soft Black & White, Winter Sunset, Cool Tones and Sunrise – are categorized as premium filters.
In describing Clipchamp as “an intelligent tool that helps you create content”, Microsoft lists a number of key features.
Automatic subtitle generation: In just a few minutes, Clipchamp’s speech-to-text software can correctly convert a video’s audio into understandable subtitles in more than 140 languages.
Text to speech conversion: Users can convert text to speech with a single click, choosing from a range of languages and customizing the voice, pitch, emotion and speech rate to achieve natural-sounding results.
Users can quickly change the video aspect ratio to fit different platforms by resizing the video. To fill in white space around the video, users can use background colors and blur effects, or crop the video to fill the screen.
Users can receive voice coaching to improve their communication skills with the webcam recording feature. The program provides feedback on speaking speed, pitch and filler words to help users develop their communication skills and successfully engage audiences.
Microsoft hopes that these cutting-edge features will provide businesses with effective video editing tools and make it easier for people to produce interesting and knowledgeable material for a variety of uses. Users can expect a smooth collaboration between Clipchamp and Microsoft 365 as the connection develops, greatly enhancing their video editing experience.
