Activision Blizzard has confirmed the steady progress of the highly anticipated Call of Duty 2023, which is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of this year (October-December), in its latest financial report. The gaming giant emphasized its commitment to producing a new and exciting chapter in the legendary Call of Duty franchise and assured fans that development on PC and console platforms is well underway.

Activision Blizzard also revealed that the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone mobile game will be tightly integrated with its PC and console counterparts and is currently undergoing regional testing.

This year’s Call of Duty will be the follow-up to the hugely popular Modern Warfare 2 and will be developed by the renowned Sledgehammer Games. Activision Blizzard seemed to confirm this revelation earlier this week when they stated that Modern Warfare 2’s characters, weapons and packs will carry over into this year’s iteration. It has also been reported that the famous maps and modes from Modern Warfare 2 will be included in the upcoming game, which will please fans of the previous title.

In an exciting release, Activision Blizzard said that the first facts about Call of Duty 2023 will be revealed during the launch of the fifth season of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, which will take place in early August. This teaser has fans eagerly anticipating the game’s surprises and enhancements.

Aside from the new game, Activision Blizzard also recognized the huge success of Call of Duty: Mobile Games, which has achieved a staggering $3 billion in global consumer spending since its launch in October 2019.

On the business front, Activision Blizzard and Microsoft have agreed to push back the completion date of their merger to 18 October. Both companies are working hard to get the merger approved by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the last major hurdle before it can be completed.

With Call of Duty 2023 promising a new and compelling gaming experience and the continued success of Call of Duty: Mobile Games, Activision Blizzard is gearing up for an exciting future with innovative and immersive offerings that will continue to delight gamers around the world.
