Just a few weeks after unveiling the Redmi Watch 3 Active on its worldwide website, Xiaomi has quietly made it available in Europe. This watch, which is the global version of the Redmi Watch 3 Youth Edition that has been available in China since May, has quietly arrived in Europe. However, not all colour variants of the Redmi Watch 3 Youth Edition are available in Europe. Instead, the Redmi Watch 3 Active is available in silver or black.
According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Watch 3 Active has a 289 mAh battery that lasts up to 12 days on a single charge. It offers a choice of 200 watch faces and has more than 100 preinstalled sports modes. Unfortunately, the watch does not have a GPS module for activity tracking. However, it does have heart rate and SpO2 sensors to track other health indicators.
The Redmi Watch 3 Active has a 1.83 inch LCD screen in a 47 mm case. With a brightness of 450 nits, the screen has a resolution of 240 x 280 pixels. The refresh rate of the screen is still a mystery. The Redmi Watch 3 Active is now available at MediaMarkt in Germany for €39.99, while Amazon sells the same product in countries such as Germany and Spain for €49. The smartwatch is expected to be available in other European territories soon.
The European launch of the Redmi Watch 3 Active gives customers looking for a feature-rich wristwatch another low-cost alternative. Xiaomi’s decision to launch the product discreetly, without much advertising or major distribution, suggests a calculated move to test the market’s reaction before expanding its reach. The Redmi Watch 3 Active could attract budget-conscious people looking for a convenient and useful wearable gadget, thanks to its long battery life, multiple sports modes and health monitoring features. The availability of the Redmi Watch 3 Active is another step forward in Xiaomi’s ambitions to bring appealing and competitive smartwatches to a wider audience as the company works to expand its global footprint.
