The San Andreas Mercenaries upgrade for GTA Online has officially launched today. New cars, activities and game content are all included in this new update. However, it seems that in addition to the new features, this update has also removed a considerable amount of material.
More than 180 cars and motorcycles have been removed from the game based on user feedback. These models will no longer be available for purchase in the in-game store unless players have already purchased them.
In GTA Online mode, several “less frequently used” cars will no longer be available, Rockstar said. However, the 189 deletions that have actually taken place have far exceeded the predictions of fans.
The new update reportedly improves the overall experience and addresses some of the complaints made by players. For example, players can now submit insurance claims for all damaged vehicles at once, there is a new sprint control option, and garage description labels can be personalized to make it easier to find damaged vehicles.

Under the direction of Charlie Reed, the Mammoth Avenger will function as an upgraded airborne command centre with new operating terminals and weapon system enhancements. You’ll also go on exciting adventures, smuggling valuable contraband across the country and taking advantage of opportunities to make money and valuable items.
Updates to the Avengers and Hangar owners will help both new and experienced smugglers by allowing Avengers to be stocked and upgraded in hangars. Players will also be able to use their Avengers without a hangar or other facilities. Get ready for the next war by assembling your squad, upgrading your hangar facilities, equipping your Avengers and honing your smuggling techniques.
This exciting GTA Online update will also bring you new random events, a tactical SMG for driving sniping, daily time challenges and more. The possibilities are endless this summer. The update will also include player-requested improvements such as a new sprint control option (hold to sprint), customizable garage description tags for faster car recovery, and the ability to claim all wrecked vehicles at once through Mutual Insurance.
In addition, characters such as Carrasco Broadway and Willard Eudora will now be qualified to drive a taxi, provided they have the correct livery. Updates to the Creator Tool will introduce more items and weather conditions, including snow.
These improvements and many more have been driven by direct input from the community. The development team has added features such as the ability to sell missions during invite-only sessions and easy access to snacks from the weapon menu. Ray traced reflections, a career builder to help you develop as a criminal, mobile gun vans, a 50-car garage, a new licence plate maker, taxi jobs and many more improvements have been made to GTA Online since its launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
