Honor 90 selling points
The screen is one of the most notable features of this phone. The Honor 90 series debuts at 3840Hz and has received the flicker-free certification from TÜV Rheinland, giving consumers an eye-protecting experience with no chance of the screen flickering.
The ultra-high frequency PWM dimming is also superior to DC dimming and low brightness display effect. It solves the problem of visual fatigue caused by low-frequency PWM dimming and can take full account of color and eye protection experience.
When the flicker frequency of the screen is greater than 3125Hz, the stroboscopic flicker does not cause damage to the human eye according to the international standard IEEE Std1789-2015. The currently dominant high-frequency PWM dimming and stroboscopic 2160Hz, 1920Hz, and 1440Hz are all low risk to human eyes.
In addition, the Honor 90 Series’ panels are arranged in a diamond pattern, with a screen contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, support for 1.07 billion colors and 10-bit color depth, higher pixel resolution, smoother text edges, and crisper and more realistic image layers.
The LTM Sunlight Screen algorithm is supported across the range. In a bright light environment, the sunlight screen algorithm is activated based on the intensity of the ambient light to improve local contrast so that the bright part is not exposed and the dark part has details, improving the visual experience.
Camera
Regarding imaging, the Honor 90 Pro has a 200-megapixel ultra-clear primary camera on the back. The sensor is 1/1.4 inch, supports 16-in-1 mode, and has an equivalent pixel size of 2.24 microns. It also has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle macro lens and a 32-megapixel telephoto portrait lens.
This time around, the Honor 90 Series has introduced a groundbreaking innovation in mobile portraiture, allowing users to capture stunning photos and preserve priceless memories at any time. Specifically, the device is equipped with a portrait engine that delivers a studio-level, SLR-level, and micron-level portrait experience.
Honor uses over one million high-quality portrait resources to train the portrait algorithm, which ultimately achieves the actual skin texture of the image with a natural pink complexion.
Improve facial sharpness by using high-quality data from the SLR camera to train the algorithm model. Multiple people can take group photos and display them beautifully, thanks to the dual-channel optimization of large and small faces.
The Honor 90 Pro also supports a new portrait lens with three focal lengths: 1X for environmental shots, 2X for atmospheric portraits, and 2.5X for close-ups. It can take the original photo instantly and is naturally photogenic.
The Honor 90 Pro features a 50-megapixel AI Portrait dual front-facing camera for high-definition selfie portraits and 100° ultra-wide-angle front-facing photography for more surroundings and group shots. As you get closer to your subject, the primary camera switches to an ultra-wide angle to capture group shots of many people. The minimum focusing distance is as close as 2.5 cm, making it easy to take close-up selfies.
In terms of industrial design, the Honor 90 Series features a new lens design inspired by Renaissance architectural arcades and four popular colors: star diamond silver, ice feather blue, dark jade green and dazzling black.
