To stay ahead of the competition, manufacturers are constantly adding new features and technologies to the smartphone market. One such innovation is the 200-megapixel sensor, which has gained popularity with companies such as Motorola, Xiaomi and Samsung. These companies have introduced 200-megapixel smartphone models that are highly competitive and offer amazing photographic capabilities.
Recently, there have been claims that certain manufacturers are planning to release smartphones with 200-megapixel telephoto lenses. Although it is not yet known which manufacturer will introduce this feature, Realme, which is planning a new product launch event for May 10th, seems to be the most likely contender. The Realme 11 series is expected to make its debut at the event, and rumors suggest that the phone will feature a 200-megapixel telephoto lens.
In the past, 200-megapixel sensors have often been used for primary cameras or ultra-wide-angle lenses that require more resolution and quality. It will be fascinating to see how manufacturers incorporate this functionality into their phones, as the telephoto lens has rarely used a 200-megapixel sensor in the past.
A simple leather variant, a new “Sunrise City” master design, and a premium curved OLED screen with 2160Hz ultra-high frequency dimming and 20000-level auto dimming are all expected to be included in the Realme 11 series. The phone is expected to have a 61° golden curve, an ultra-narrow 2.33mm chin and flagship eye protection, making it a remarkable smartphone.
In parallel, Matteo Menotto, a former GUCCI print designer, worked with designers to create the lychee grain leather back shell for the Realme phone. With a 2.33mm chin, the Realme 11’s signature curved screen is a design highlight. While the Realme 11 Pro features a dual 108MP+2MP camera combination and a 16MP front camera, the Realme 11 Pro+ has a triple rear camera array with a 200MP+8MP+2MP configuration. All three variants of the Realme 11 series – Realme 11, Realme 11 Pro, and Realme 11 Pro+ – are powered by the new octa-core MediaTek platform, with processing speeds of up to 2.6GHz and memory options of 16GB+1TB.
