Although Xiaomi has just held a conference to announce its high-end flagship, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, another new smartphone could be on its way. However, this time we are not talking about a flagship but a selfie phone. At least, its selling point should be the two camera sensors on the front and the corresponding algorithms and features from Meitu.
A new 5G Xiaomi model with model number 23046PNC9C (the same as the previous model in the IMEI database) and a 67W charger has just passed a Chinese certification. And though there is no confidence that this is the much-rumored Xiaomi Civi 3, recalling a mysterious phone in the hands of a Xiaomi executive, there is every reason to think this is the device we are talking about.
Prior to this, we have heard that the Xiaomi Civi 3 would use the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor, which is much more powerful than the Snapdragon 778G Plus and Snapdragon 7 Gen1 used before. Its CPU has an 8-core design with a 1+3+4 three-cluster architecture. There are 4 Cortex-A78 large cores and 4 Cortex-A55 small cores. At the same time, the A78 large core runs at 3.1GHz and uses TSMC’s 4nm technology.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen1 on the Civi 2 has a running score of fewer than 600,000 points, while the Dimensity 8200 AnTuTu has a full score of over 900,000 points.
Apart from this, we have heard that the Xiaomi Civi 3 would feature a 32-megapixel dual front-facing camera and an FHD+120Hz high-refresh screen. This also means that the Xiaomi Civi 2’s current ‘pill-shaped digging screen, which resembles the iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island, will remain in place. The two subtle lights hidden in the bezel should also be retained.
Although the company has not talked about it officially, the leaks and rumors hint at its upcoming launch.
