The VIVO Pad, the company’s first flagship tablet, was launched last year. The VIVO Pad2, the company’s second-generation flagship tablet, was released earlier today. It came with many improvements touching all aspects: screen, hardware, performance, audio, and productivity. This is a genuine flagship tablet with a big screen.
VIVO Pad 2 Selling Points
The VIVO Pad2 has a big screen, but it’s still lightweight and compact, thanks to its ultra-narrow 6.9 mm bezel and 88.1% screen-to-body ratio. The body weighs 585 grams and has a regulated thickness of 6.59 mm. The one-piece metal body is made from an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy and has an excellent texture.
Also, this tablet has a customized 12.1-inch screen with a 7:5 golden ratio, which is larger than last year’s 11-inch screen. Compared to the 11-inch screen, the display area has increased by 27.3%. The horizontal and vertical modes are quite pleasant, and the file and other experiences are more similar to a PC. This screen supports HDR10+ certification and has an ultra-clear resolution of 2.8K retina level, 144Hz e-sports level high refresh rate, peak brightness of 600nits, and 1.07 billion colors.
In addition, this screen enhances eye protection. It is the world’s first to come with a chip-level intelligent anti-blue light. Not surprisingly, it has achieved the German Rheinland low blue light certification and supports a proprietary natural light-like anti-fatigue brightness adjustment technology to reduce visual fatigue caused by prolonged tablet use, among other things.
Performance and More
The VIVO Pad2 is the best in its class when it comes to performance. It has a memory combination of up to 12+512GB, the flagship Dimensity 9000 processor with 4nm technology, an 8-core CPU, and a 10-core GPU core running at a maximum frequency of 3.05GHz. The battery has been upgraded to 1000mAh, with 44W flash charging and a full charge time of just 139 minutes.
The VIVO Pad2’s audio features include an extra-large 10.2cc sound chamber and VIVO’s proprietary Super Audio sound effect.
With the new stylus, smart touch keyboard, and other accessories supported by the VIVO Pad2, both office meetings and online learning can be managed effectively.
Other features include an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear camera, a 5Gbps USB-C high-speed port, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3.
The price of the 8+128GB is 2499 Yuan ($364), while the 8+256GB variant costs 2799 Yuan ($407).
