When 3D TVs first came out, I was one of those people who thought it was going to be mainstream. I even sold my kidney (kidding) and bought a big-screen TV with 3D support. But it took a couple of years for me to realize that this technology wasn’t going to go mainstream. Instead, people started looking at 4K resolution TVs. Now it is a common technology. But 4K content is scarce. However, this will soon change as more and more devices capable of recording 4K video appear. This also applies to dash cameras. 70mai, a company that specializes in developing innovative dash camera technologies and is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem, has announced its next flagship product. Today, they announced the A810, a super-flagship 4K dash cams that will be released in May. It will be the first 4K dash cam in the industry to boast Sony’s IMX678 sensor.

70mai said that the new Sony IMX678 image sensor uses a 1/1.8″ target area chip. Compared to the old flagship IMX415 chip, the size is increased by 38%. At the same time, the photosensitive area is increased by 90%. So there is every reason to believe that the night vision effect will be significantly improved compared to other 4k dash cameras

In addition, the sensor is equipped with Sony’s STARVIS 2 image sensor technology. It supports a higher dynamic range and has been improved in terms of sensitivity, noise reduction, near-infrared light absorption rate, and high dynamic range. The shooting functionality in situations such as high-speed sports and high-speed sports has been greatly improved.

In addition, the new 4K dash cam, the A810, will come with Mai Color System & Sony, Sony’s high-definition image color solution. The latter incorporates a new generation of IMX 678 sensor, which has been specially developed by Sony for the A810. Based on the previous generation Mai Color System, it enhances transparency and contrast, as well as the fineness of the night image, especially when capturing dynamic images. As a result, the dots are not blurred, and the frame is accurately fixed.

As a leading provider of auto intelligence solutions, 70mai specializes in dashboard cameras and has achieved a strong global presence. Over the years, the company has sold 1.5 million dash cams to more than 100 countries across Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia. Building on its expertise in car jump starters and battery products, 70mai has expanded into the clean energy market, introducing its first power station in 2021 to meet the rising demand for portable power while on the go. Committed to delivering a safe, comfortable, and connected experience both on and off the road, 70mai is dedicated to advancing smart innovations that simplify every journey.
