Today, Meizu organized an official meeting with the media and disclosed a lot of news concerning the company’s achievements in various fields. Of course, when talking about this brand, the first thing that comes to our mind is the next-gen flagship smartphone, the Meizu 20. At today’s meeting, the company executive announced that the phone would be uncovered on March 30 along with the new Flyme 10 system.
The entire series will include at least two models. We mean, apart from the vanilla version, there will also be the Meizu 20 Pro. Under the hood, the latter will house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, LPDDR5X memory, and UFS 4.0 flash storage. On the front, it will carry a 2K+ 120fps AMOLED flexible straight screen. The latter will also use a Samsung E6 material, have a peak brightness of 1800 nits, self-developed 1-120 frame LTPO adaptive refresh technology, etc. The 144-frame dynamic refresh rate gaming screen supports a 1.07 billion color high dynamic range display and low blue light anti-flicker mode.
This handset will also boast a built-in 5000mAh ultra-durable battery, supporting 12.3 hours of high-intensity continuous use. In addition, the Meizu 20 Pro will also support 80W wired fast charging and 50W Super Wireless mCharge wireless charging. In simple terms, it will only take 30 minutes to charge wirelessly to 80%.
Another selling point of the Meizu 20 Pro will be UWB ultra-wideband technology, which can realize precise search of vehicles and accessories.
As for the rest of the features of the series, the Meizu 20 models will come with a 50MP 1/1.56-inch outsole main camera, which supports a new generation of SMA optical image stabilization and DarkVision 2.0 for extreme night scene enhancement. Plus, the Meizu 20 supports full-pixel focusing technology. In comparison to the Meizu 18s, the focusing speed is increased by 33%.
By the way, on the back, the handsets will carry four cameras arranged vertically. One of them has a ring flash. Below the back is the Meizu logo. The new logo color is composed of red and black, using the two letters M and Z. The “MEIZU” wordmark continues the sans serif font.
In terms of design, the Meizu 20 series adopts a flexible straight screen and has the narrowest frame of 1.57mm. The phone was leaked in real photos.
These handsets will also debut the fifth-generation two super-linear speakers. The Meizu 20 series uses the FlymeSound Classic Meizu self-developed audio enhancement algorithm.
There are 13 gaming-grade high-energy antennas. Also, the newly upgraded game mode 6.0 and the self-developed game speed mode can intelligently schedule game scenes and reduce the delay by 50%.
Finally, the total heat dissipation area is 36242mm², which is 56% higher than the previous generation.
