Besides launching various products and appearing in various leaks, Xiaomi was on everyone’s lips due to the new notebook. We are talking about the enhanced version of the RedmiBook Pro 15. The retail price of this laptop is 4,799 yuan ($700).
The processor of the new notebook is upgraded from 8-core i5-12450H to 12-core i5-12500H. But the rest of the features remain unchanged. Anyway, the i5-12500H adopts the Intel 7 process, has 12 cores and 16 threads, the main frequency is 3.1GHz, and the L3 cache is 18MB.
As for its biggest selling point, the RedmiBook Pro 15 sports a 15.6-inch 3.2K 90Hz primary color screen with a resolution of 3200*2000 and supports switching between 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rates. At the same time, the screen brightness is 400 nits. If this number doesn’t tell you anything, then you should know that this laptop can clearly display content under direct sunlight. It has a contrast ratio of 1500:1, a high color gamut of 100% sRGB, Delta E < 1.5, supports intelligent photosensitive and DC dimming and has passed the TÜV Rheinland hardware-level low blue light certification.
Apart from the processor we mentioned above, under the hood, our protagonist also houses three heat pipes and two fans. So its heat dissipation is at the highest level. There is also a built-in 72Wh large battery, large cavity dual speakers/DTS sound effects, oversized touchpad, full-size four-speed backlit keyboard, etc.
In terms of ports and interfaces, the RedmiBook Pro 15 comes with Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.0, USB-A 3.2 Gen1, USB-C 3.2 Gen2, card reader, and 3.5mm audio jack. The laptop adopts CNC technology, is about 14.9mm thick, and weighs about 1.8kg
As a reminder, Xiaomi launched the RedmiBook Pro 2022 laptop in March of last year. It came with 12th-generation Core i5-12450H and i7-12650H processors and optional Nvidia RTX 2050 graphics cards, starting at 5299 yuan ($773).
