When talking about the brand Xiaomi, many think this company designs and manufactures only smartphones. But in fact, it has tons of products in 600+ categories. Among them, wearables are what the company shows off. That’s why every time we hear news about the new wearables, we think they will become hot-selling products, undoubtedly.
The new Xiaomi smart band dubbed the Xiaomi band 8 and the Watch S2 smartwatch that was released in China before this have successfully passed the certification of the Emirates regulator TDRA.
The Xiaomi Band 8 is certified with the model code M2239B1, while the Watch S2 is certified with the M2207W1. The certification center did not disclose any technical characteristics of these two devices. However, the fact that the models were admitted to the UAE market hints at the possibility of an early premiere.
There are still very few details known about the Xiaomi Band 8. It is expected that the forthcoming smartband will come with all the basic fitness tracking features, as well as a large display.
Though there is no info on the global version of the Xiaomi Watch S2, the Chinese version of the smartwatch is sold in two sizes – 1.43” and 1.32”. Both are equipped with AMOLED displays. The leather version of the wearable has sapphire crystal protection. The devices come with built-in speakers and microphones for making calls via Bluetooth.
The Chinese version of the watch received an abundance of sleep and fitness tracking features, as well as support for 100+ sports modes and water resistance at depths of up to 50 meters. The 1.43” version is equipped with a 500mAh battery, while the 1.32” version sports a 305mAh battery.
A few days ago, a blogger said that the smartband should be introduced at MWC 2023 conference. As for now, it’s gone on mass production.
