The Xiaomi 12S Ultra cameraphone was introduced last summer and made a lot of noise. That’s why expectations for its successor are huge. We know that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be released in March or April.
Last week, the leaked CAD renders showed the design of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The real photo of the engineering machine clearly shows the massive camera of the smartphone.
It consists of four modules that fit into a large round lens. But unlike its predecessor, the camera module noticeably protrudes above the rest of the back. So there is every reason to think that the camera will come with an upgraded hardware.
The Leica logo and eco-leather surface are also in place. But the white color was not available in the previous generation. If you remember, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra was sold in dark colors – Black and Dark Green.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra Specs We Know For The Time Being
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will get advanced hardware. It will come with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution and an adaptive frequency of 120 hertz. Under the hood, there will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. However, the selling point of this handset should be the camera. It will include four lenses: the main one is a 50 MP Sony IMX989 sensor with OIS and adjustable aperture f/1.6-2.4, and three additional modules of 50MP each (ultrawide, portrait zoom 2.6x and periscope with long-range optical zoom 5x). The resolution of the front camera will be 32MP.
The battery with a capacity of 5000mAh will be responsible for autonomy and support 90-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging. Also, Xiaomi 13 Ultra will receive IP68 moisture protection, stereo sound, an NFC module, and many more. Out of the box, the device will run Android 13 with the MIUI 14 proprietary interface.
