Qualcomm, like many other brands, holds its annual event in November and presents new chips. At least that was the case last year when the manufacturer introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This is going to change. The release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship chipset may take place as early as October.
Rumors are always swirling around interesting products. So we recommend taking this news with a grain of salt. The sources say that there will be two versions of the chip – a regular one and a separate chip for Samsung Galaxy phones. With this in mind, the early launch of the 3rd generation chipset will allow Qualcomm to focus on its second version, which will be aimed at future Galaxy flagships.
Most importantly, the latest chips will support better GPU and CPU clock speeds. The company will solve the problems with the supply chain by applying a double assurance approach. In addition, the manufacturer may look for options to get help from Samsung and TSMC in the mass production of chipsets.
The information comes from a Twitter user unfamiliar to us. So it’s a bit hard to say whether they have anything in common with reality or not. Anyway, the user said that there was no information concerning the parameters of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The release date of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 seems to come earlier than the month Gen 2 was released.

A flagship release Q4 2023?
Well, if the third-generation chipset comes out a month earlier, it will compete with Apple’s A17 Bionic. Last year, Qualcomm succeeded. Its new product outperformed the A16 Bionic chip in single-core and multi-core tests. So we can expect the same from the future development. More importantly, the future Qualcomm chip will consume 20% less energy than its predecessor. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is currently rumored to easily outperform the A17 Bionic chip in single-core tests.
