Just recently, OPPO’s sub-brand launched a smartphone that caused a lot of stir on the net. The reason is that it’s the world’s first smartphone supporting 240W fast charging. The latter makes this handset fully charge in 8 minutes. It turns out that the Chinese smartphone makers have reached serious results in terms of fast charging. This might bring tons of benefits when compared with Samsung and Apple. Anyway, the Realme GT Neo 5 is still on everyone’s lips, but another handset from the series has been spotted. We are talking about the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, which is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip.
As the blogger proves, the yet-to-come Realme GT Neo 5 SE will sport the Qualcomm SM7475 mobile platform (Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1). You might wonder why the handset won’t come with the SM7550 (Snapdragon 7 Gen 2) processor. The reason is that Qualcomm needs something in the middle to make competition with the Dimensity 9200. It will replace the Dimensity 8300. So before the SM7550 (Snapdragon 7 Gen 2) chip hits the market at the end of the year, Qualcomm needs another chip. By the way, both use TSMC process nodes.
As for the original Realme GT Neo 5 standard variant, it comes with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship chip. Plus, it boasts a 16GB+1TB memory combination. Another highlight of the handset is the 144Hz 1.5K flagship direct screen, which uses a T7+ new generation flagship luminescent material, and has a local peak of 1400nit brightness. This display supports 144Hz gaming-level high refresh rate, 7-speed intelligent dynamic refresh rate adjustment, 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, 5000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, etc. Lastly, as said, the two models in the series support 150W and 240W fast charging solutions.
