Today, OnePlus hosted a new product release event and announced a few products, including the OnePlus Ace 2 flagship smartphone. The prices start at 2,799 yuan ($412).
Selling Points
The OnePlus Ace 2 adopts a black hole-inspired aesthetic design. The thickness is 8.7mm, and the weight is 204g. It comes in two colors: vast black and glacier blue. There is also a three-stage physical mute button. Plus, this handset uses silk glass technology to prevent fingerprints.
Under the hood, this handset houses the full-blooded version of the Snapdragon 8+ processor (3.2GHz). It has the highest running score among all Snapdragon 8+ phones. Besides this, there is also LPDDR5X memory and UFS 3.1 flash storage. The phone has 5177mm² eight-channel VC + 6355.32mm² phase-change graphene for heat dissipation. There is an exclusive customized professional rendering chip.
In addition, OnePlus Ace 2 eliminates 8GB memory and popularizes 16GB super-large memory. The handset comes with a memory genetic recombination technology. The latter improves the utilization rate of 16GB large memory through instantaneous bandwidth technology and greatly reduces stuttering. It also modifies the underlying architecture of Android memory through asynchronous memory technology. In the cases when the system is overloaded, the frames will drop by 50% to ease the situation.
In terms of games, OnePlus Ace 2 has a newly upgraded game frame stabilization engine 2.0. The latter calculates, protects, and optimizes the game screen in milliseconds. So almost all mobile games, such as Peace Elite and League of Legends, can run at full frame.
Through actual combat tests, OnePlus Ace 2 has also become the designated machine for the 2023 Peace Elite Professional League and the first season of the League of Legends mobile game Asian League.
Screen and More
The OnePlus Ace 2 sports a 6.74-inch 2772×1240 flexible OLED screen, which uses T7+ luminescent material and a diamond-like arrangement. The display supports adaptive 45/60/90/120Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, 1000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, self-developed touch technology, 10bit color depth, and 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The OnePlus Ace 2 also optimizes the game network experience. There are 12 high-performance e-sports antennas + LinkBoost4.0 network optimization. The phone supports game cloud computing private network. In effect, the number of high game delays under a weak network can be reduced by up to 99.43%.
The OnePlus Ace 2 has a 5000mAh battery and supports 100W super flash charging. As a result, charging from 1% to 100% takes 25 minutes. The machine is also the world’s first to come with the SUPERVOOC S power management chip. It improves the discharge efficiency of the dual-cell battery to 99.5%, that is close to no loss.
In terms of imaging, the OnePlus Ace 2 has a rear 50MP (Sony IMX890, OIS) main lens + 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 2MP macro lens combination. The front camera has a 16MP resolution.
In other aspects, the OnePlus Ace 2 supports infrared remote control and spatial audio. It runs the ColorOS 13 system based on Android 13 from the factory.
