We know that POCO will release the rebranded Redmi Note 12 globally as the POCO X5 series. The latter will include two models – the vanilla version and the Pro version. We do not need many leaks or rumors to understand what handsets we are dealing with because besides a couple of minor changes, the rest of the selling points will remain unchanged. Recently, a tech blogger JAOLtech showed photos and revealed the key features of the upcoming Poco X5 Pro 5G smartphone. The latter should hit the market in the near future.
From the photos and the film on the screen, we can see that the POCO X5 Pro 5G will sport a 120Hz AMOLED screen with a punch-hole design. Under the hood, this phone will house the Snapdragon 778G processor. Also, there will be a 5000mAh battery, which should support 67W fast charging.
The main camera on the rear will include a 108-megapixel sensor. But it will be accompanied by ultra-wide and macro sensors. We also know that it will come with an NFC module and two speakers.
The black box shows 8/256GB memory and model number 22101320G. So if you have seen the latter in any documentation or certification, just know that it was the POCO X5 Pro 5G. However, the leak does not disclose price information.
By the way, the standard version has been leaked in FCC. We should also say that the POCO X5 5G is codenamed “Redwood.”
Lastly, the standard Poco X5 will be the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 5G. In this model, instead of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, it will use something cheaper, say, the Snapdragon 695. The more powerful POCO X5 Pro should fix the bugs of its predecessor, which didn’t sell well. That’s why, it will be based on the Chinese Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, which runs on the Snapdragon 778G chipset.
