In October 2021, Oppo released the Oppo A56 5G smartphone with the Dimensity 700 chip in China. Today, the company released a slightly improved version of the latter. The Oppo A56s is already out.
The Oppo A56s 5G sports a 6.56-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution (720 x 1612 pixels) and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood, there is a Dimensity 810 chip, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128/256GB of flash storage.
The handset runs on the Color OS system based on Android 12. Other than that, there is an 8-MP front camera, a main camera with a main 13MP sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. We can also find a slot for two SIM cards supporting 5G. The phone supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS, and comes with a USB-C port and an audio jack.
Also, the Oppo A56s has a thickness of 7.99 mm and weighs about 186 g. It is available in black and blue color variants. The cost of the version with 128 GB of memory is $189, while the 256GB version is $292.
Oppo A78 specs
Besides the OPPO A56s, the company also introduced a budget smartphone called the Oppo A78. There is no exact information about the price of the smartphone yet, but it is expected to be around $700. Under the hood, it carries the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage.
On the front, it has an IPS display with a diagonal of 6.56 inches, while the refresh rate is 90 Hz (but the resolution is only HD+). The phone’s camera on the rear has a 50MP main sensor. The 5,000mAh battery supports 33W fast charging. To fully charge the handset, it needs only 67 minutes.
Plus, the phone has stereo speakers and IPX4 protection against moisture and dust. We should also mention that it supports the latest Bluetooth 5.3 standard, but Wi-Fi here is only the 5th version. Dimensions of the Oppo A78 are 163.8 x 75.1 x 8 millimeters, and it weighs 188 grams.
