Every year, at CES, LG and the likes introduce their achievements in the TV niche. For instance, this year, the company launched a 97-inch TV that has no ports. This simply means we are dealing with the world’s largest wireless TV that also uses an OLED panel and supports 4K.
The module with the panel itself does not have ports. But it should be paired with a special transmitter that can be placed close to the room. The set-top box has standard HDMI and other ports. The module at the top of the set-top box can be rotated so that its internal antenna is directed toward the TV.
The new LG wireless TV doesn’t really have any ports, making it much easier to place it anywhere in the room. The only connection left is the power cable, cleverly hidden in one of the legs of the stand. However, the model can also be mounted on the wall.

LG says the transmitter can be placed up to 30 feet (about 10 m) from the panel. LG also emphasized that this technology would not harm those in the room – it is very similar to Wi-Fi. By the way, the transmitter will not interfere with Wi-Fi and vice versa. The signal is capable of delivering resolutions up to 4K at a refresh rate of 120Hz. In total, the set-top box has three HDMI ports, an antenna input, two USB, Ethernet, and a digital optical output, as well as a serial port.
Of course, wireless TV is not anything new. But the models sold before could not provide a signal of such resolution and quality.
By the way, at CES, the Displace startup also demonstrated another wireless model – a 55-inch battery-powered OLED version.
In addition to the 97-inch wireless OLED model, LG also showed other series with a traditional cable connection. In addition to the 97-inch version, LG will release panels with 83- and 77-inch displays in the M3 series. Prices will be announced later, but new items are unlikely to be cheap. For example, LG’s standard 97-inch OLED TV costs $25,000.
