The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicked off in Las Vegas today. One of the first brands that held a new product launch conference was Acer. The latter introduced the eKinekt BD 3 cool riding desk product that combines an exercise bike and desk. As you guess, it aims to promote a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
This product allows users to exercise while working and converts the kinetic energy of pedals into electricity to power machines and charge personal devices. When the pedals are turned, the eKinekt BD 3 can convert kinetic energy into electricity, and it can continuously ride at 60 RPM for one hour. It can generate about 75 watts of electricity to charge laptops or other devices.

The tabletop and structural cover of the eKinekt BD 3 are made from post-consumer recycled materials (PCR). It reflects Acer’s long-term commitment to finding a balance between innovative solutions and a sustainable environment.
Moreover, it can not only display information such as real-time riding time, distance and speed but also display estimated calories consumed and power generation; users can also enter personal information such as height, weight, gender, and age in the application to obtain more accurate tracking data. In addition, the application can also record the user’s exercise history in order to track personal progress and compare results over a period of time.
In work mode, the user can pull the desktop closer to the seat position, maintaining an upright posture while typing on a laptop or pedaling a bicycle; while switching to sports mode, the user only needs to push the desktop forward to increase the forward tilt space, like the riding position of a general bicycle or exercise bike, increases leg room and increases the user’s pedaling power.
Of course, as a sports office product, it allows users to adjust the resistance of the bicycle, the height of the table, and the seat according to their own needs, making it more flexible and comfortable for work or training. The eKinekt BD 3 also has two USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port, an item hook, and a drink holder to enhance user convenience.
