Today, a Weibo blogger reported that the company would release the Galaxy S23 series of flagship phones on February 1. The lineup will include three models: the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Among them, the Galaxy S23 is a small-screen flagship phone. It is a little smaller than the Mi 13, with a size of only 6.1 inches and a resolution of 2340×1080 (the size of the Mi 13 is 6.36 inches).
The back of the machine uses the same design style as the Galaxy S22 Ultra. However, the Galaxy S23 only has three cameras. So there is no pressure to operate with one hand.
In terms of hardware and performance, like the Mi 13, the Galaxy S23 will sport Qualcomm’s second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. This time all Samsung Galaxy models will come with this chip, and there will be no Exynos version.
It is worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy S23 uses the high-frequency version of the second-generation Snapdragon 8. Its CPU frequency has reached an unprecedented 3.36GHz clock speed, while the CPU frequency of the standard version of the second-generation Snapdragon 8 is 3.2GHz. So there is every reason to think that the former will score more in benchmark platforms.
In addition, the Galaxy S23 will feature a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens on the rear. This camera module will support 3x optical zoom. Also, we know that the front-facing camera will have a 12-megapixel resolution. The 3900mAh battery will support 25W wired fast charging.
Other reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S23 could cost more than its predecessor due to inflationary pressures. But there is still no certainty because we have heard similar rumors about the Mi 13. But the series didn’t get a significant price increase in the end.
