As soon as in two days, VIVO will host another new product launch conference. At December 22 event, the company will announce a new series of smartphones, namely the VIVO S16.
Today, the company’s Weibo channel disclosed some details concerning the forthcoming model. It said that the VIVO S16 would be the industry’s first double-sided soft light smartphone. This means the series will come with dual soft lights on the front and the industry’s first original color soft light ring on the rear. In other words, the phone will be able to take outstanding portraits using both cameras.
According to the official introduction, the VIVO S16 series detects and understands the original quality of the light source through various sensors and algorithms. Then, it intelligently adjusts the dual soft lights at the front and rear. So even before the light enters, it already knows how to proceed.

At the same time, the new phone has a front-facing 50-megapixel camera. The rear camera uses an optical image stabilization outsole main sensor. The latter uses VIVO’s self-developed soft-light portrait algorithm. In effect, the front and rear lenses of the S16 series are capable of taking stereoscopic images.
In other aspects, the VIVO S16 series of smartphones support 80W fast charging and will come with a large memory and super-capacity battery. In addition, the series will bring a new color with a jade-like body.
At present, the VIVO S16 series has opened an appointment. From the latter, we know that the series will include three models: VIVO S16e, VIVO S16, and VIVO S16 Pro. Prior to this, we learned that these three models would come with the Samsung Exynos 1080, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, and the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chips, respectively. Thus, they are classic mid-range smartphones.
