Asus continues to bet on mini PCs and now it has just launched its new PL64, which is clearly aimed at the industrial world. It is powered by i7/i5/i3 and Celeron Alder Lake processors from Intel. The Asus PL64 comes in a metal chassis and it can handle triple 4K displays, dual LAN ports, two M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSDs, integrated Wi-Fi 6E/BT support, etc.

Asus PL64 is available with Intel Alder Lake U-series processors, known for being low-power solutions that still offer a good level of performance. In their most basic configuration, these computers integrate a Celeron 7305, but they can mount a powerful Intel Core i5-1235U.
This computer supports up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, uses high-performance PCIe SSD drives, and is MIL-STD-810H military-grade ruggedness certified, which means it has a high degree of resistance to harsh environments.
Asus PL64 has space to mount two M.2 SSDs, so storage capacity won’t be an issue, even in the long run. They have a 4-year warranty. We don’t have any details on its price, but we imagine that in its basic configuration it will be quite cheap.
As we anticipated, they are very compact in size, measuring 199.7mm x 119.7mm x 33.99mm. Its chassis is part of the passive cooling system, as it helps to dissipate heat and prevent it from accumulating in the CPU. On the front, it has a 3.5 mm jack for headphones and a microphone, three USB 3.2 Gen1 connectors, two communication ports, and a power button.
On the back, we see three HDMI 2.0 outputs, two connectors for antennas that will allow us to extend the range of its wireless connectivity (supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5 ), a Gigabit LAN Ethernet port, and a 2.5G Ethernet port. Mounting the Asus PL64 couldn’t be easier. ASUS offers a handy wall mount bracket and the system can be secured to any VESA mount.
