It is believed that the Chinese electronics giant ThinkPhone is gearing up to launch its new smartphone dubbed Lenovo ThinkPhone and we came across an image of the smartphone a couple of weeks ago which revealed the design. Now, the device has been certified with model code XT2309-1 by the Chinese regulatory body 3C, which has revealed some specifications of the phone.
The listing reveals that the Lenovo ThinkPhone has a charger with model code MC-688N and outputs 15W (5V/3A), 27W (9V/3A), 45W (15V/3A), and 68W (11V/6.2A ). Interestingly, the 3C listing shows that the device will be manufactured by Motorola. For those who don’t know, Motorola is owned by Lenovo.
Older rumors linked this number to a Bronco codename carried by a device part of the Edge series, so there will likely be two variants – one under the Motorola brand and the other under Lenovo.
Expected Specifications of Lenovo ThinkPhone
Unfortunately, the certification does not bring other details such as chipset, cameras, or screen. But it was previously revealed that the Motorola Bronco could arrive with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chipset, FHD+ resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and up to 12GB of RAM. The camera will have a 50MP main sensor paired with a 13MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth sensor. If the Lenovo ThinkPhone is indeed a rebranded variant of this device, it may have the same specs.
An image of the Lenovo ThinkPhone also surfaced recently, pointing to a rectangular triple camera module with an LED flash. However, it is an early prototype and the design may change before the phone’s launch. This phone will receive more certifications in the coming weeks, which should bring more specifications and its design.
