There are so many leaks about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 13 series of flagship smartphones that we do not manage to talk about other products that are going to attend the stage. For instance, the company will also release new TWS earbuds, a new router, a mini PC, etc. Do you know that the latter will be Xiaomi’s first mini host. And as Xiaomi usually does, it won’t launch a top-end model. Instead, the manufacturer will “touch” the niche by bringing a cost-effective model.
Recently, the Xiaomi mini PC was leaked in a promo image. We can see that it looks identical to the Intel NUC or Apple Mac mini. From the leaked photo, we can see that the machine will come with an all-metal body. There are dense honeycomb holes on the side for heat dissipation. Plus, we can see two full-size USB-A ports, a power supply (headphone jack?), and a power button on the front.
Regarding configuration, the forthcoming Xiaomi mini host is said to adopt the AMD solution. More precisely, it will come with the Ryzen 7 6800H processor. The latter is designed as a high-performance notebook processor with a 6nm process, a Zen3+ CPU architecture, eight cores, 16 threads, and a maximum frequency of 4.7GHz. The display unit integrates Radeon 680M with RDNA2 architecture. Also, it supports HDMI 2.1, 4K 60Hz high-definition output, etc.
Though there is no official statement, we’ve heard that this mini PC will come with different variants. The version without memory and SSD is priced at 2,999 yuan ($427), while the pre-installed 16+512GB version will be 3,999 yuan ($569). It’s not a cheap product. But much earlier, we heard that it would not be suitable for heavy gaming applications. But the product should be ideal for daily office tasks. Now, the spotted hardware configurations hint that the previous rumor was inaccurate.
