Since the beginning of September, we have been counting on DJI having another exciting drone up its sleeve in the near future. At that time, based on rumors, we still assumed that the presentation would even take place in the current month. Now, almost three months later, that has obviously not come true. But we have every reason to believe that the DJI Mini 3 will be available in stores in time for the holiday season.
Because DJI Mini 3 drone has passed the FCC certification. Previously, DJI only launched the Mini 3 Pro, and it seems that the regular version is coming. According to the FCC label information, the new DJI Mini 3 drone will be powered by a 7.38V battery, the same as the Mini 3 Pro, but the battery capacity is not mentioned.
The name – DJI Mini 3 – is confirmed
This doesn’t give us any information about the appearance, but at least the name – DJI Mini 3 – is confirmed. Then I can also cope a little better with the fact that the manufacturer had given the spring drone a “Pro” suffix.
But what was saved on the presumably slimmed-down version has not yet been finally clarified. Most likely, at least one, if not more, obstacle avoidance sensors have been omitted. The strategy of the manufacturer is to sell technically slightly worse but cheaper versions at a later point in time: the DJI Mavic 3 Classic was recently presented under this motto.
