VIVO X90 Finally Came: VIVO X90 Pro+ Rocks!

VIVO X90

We’ve been talking about the VIVO X90 series and the models it includes for a few months. Today, the lineup was officially launched. It offers three models: the vanilla version, the Pro version, and the Pro+ version. The latter has been in the spotlight. But before that, let’s see what the other two offer.

The VIVO X90 series comes in four color options. Red and Black versions use plain leather, while the Black Blue variants come with AG glass material.

The VIVO X90 standard and Pro versions are the world’s first two phones with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor. This is the closest rival to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Thus, it’s among the most powerful mobile chips on Earth. Due to various optimizations, the chip scores over 1.28 million points in AnTuTu.

The handset also uses the self-developed V2 imaging chip and the first FIT technology. Due to them, the phone can capture every detail, providing the best camera experience. The phone debuted the VCS Bionic Spectrum technology. It helps the primary camera (50MP VCS IMX866) and a 108° low-distortion 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens IMX663 to take amazing photos in all conditions.

The VIVO X90 series has an ultra-wide-area ice sheet cooling system. It comes with the largest 4313m㎡ dissipation area.

This smartphone is the world’s first to use the BOE Q9 light-emitting device. The screen has a pixel density of up to 452ppi and comes with three eye protection solutions taking into account software, hardware, and chips.

The phone’s 4810mAh battery supports 120W fast charging, reaching 50% in 8 minutes.

The VIVO X90 is offered in four variants:

  • 8GB + 128GB: 3699 yuan ($518)
  • 8GB + 256GB: 3999 yuan ($560)
  • 12GB + 256GB: 4499 yuan ($630)
  • 12GB + 512GB: 4999 yuan ($700)

VIVO X90 Pro

The configuration of the VIVO X90 Pro is almost identical to that of the vanilla version. Thus, it still sports the Dimensity 9200 chip, BOE Q9 screen, and three rear cameras.

VIVO X90 Pro+

The most significant selling point of the VIVO X90 Pro+ is the camera. It uses the same sensor as the Xiaomi Mi 12S Ultra camera. It’s the Sony IMX989 lens with a one-inch outsole. We have talked about the advantages of this sensor millions of times. You have to know that it’s the best sensor on the mobile market for the time being.

As for the rest of the sensors, the wide-angle lens has a 114° field of view and a 64MP telephoto lens. Lastly, there is the world’s first deeply customized IMX758 sensor with the largest portrait lens aperture of f/1.6. Due to it, the phone’s camera is comparable to a 90mm mid-telephoto portrait camera.

Other than that, this is the world’s first smartphone to use Samsung’s 2K E6 super-sensing eye protection screen. Its local peak brightness can reach 1800nit. Also, the screen supports an XDR display and a Dolby Vision display.
