The VIVO opened appointments for the forthcoming VIVO X90 series of flagship smartphones. On the poster, we can see that the lineup will be released on November 22. Plus, another product will be the VIVO TWS 3 wireless earphones. Earlier, a Weibo tipster said that the entire series would be in a 12GB+512GB super-large memory combination.
VIVO X90 Camera and Hardware
The VIVO X90 series will include X90, X90 Pro, and X90 Pro+. What’s more interesting, the series will debut the Dimensity 9200, based on TSMC’s 4nm process, and has an AnTuTu score of 1,284,467. This is the highest score in the Android camp.
However, these phones will have another selling point. As we can see in the poster, the new phone has four rear cameras. There is also a metal strip on the back cover.
Getting back to the camera setup, the main camera is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 989 CMOS. This is the same 1-inch outsole lens that was developed by Xiaomi and Sony jointly. Initially, it appeared on the Xiaomi Mi 12S Ultra. But soon, the sensor will appear on the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro as well. So the VIVO X90 is going to be the first non-Xiaomi phone with it onboard. As a reminder, its R&D costs are $15 mln. Each of the parties paid half.
The rest of the cameras are impressive as well. For instance, there is a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (Sony IMX598), a 50-megapixel portrait lens (Sony IMX758), and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens (Howey OV64B).
At the same time, the VIVO X90 series will come with the self-developed V2 chip for the first time. VIVO, in cooperation with ZEISS, has made tons of improvements. Due to the optical super-resolution algorithm and telephoto capability, the phone is able to reproduce the natural colors of the photo.
Photo Samples
Today, from the same source, we even got the first VIVO X90 Pro+ camera samples. The 3.5x telephoto samples show that the picture quality is relatively clean, and the colors are realistic and attractive. The photo information shows that the resolution is 4608*3456 pixels. It is close to 16 megapixels. If it belongs to the default four-in-one pixel, it corresponds to a 64-megapixel telephoto lens.
