If nothing changes, Honor will release its new-gen Honor 80 series of flagship smartphones at the end of the year. Obviously, the company will make many improvements in the series. They will refer to screen, performance, and image basically. But we shouldn’t rule out the possibility that other aspects will also get enhancements. Recently, we got some interesting news concerning the upcoming series.
What We Know About Honor 80 Series
As a Weibo leaker said, the new Honor 80 series will include three models. They are the Honor 80 SE, Honor 80, and Honor 80 Pro. They will come with different chips, such as the MediaTek Dimensity 1080, Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform. As you can see, the positioning of these three varies from model to model. They cover from mid-range to the premium segment. Moreover, if this information is accurate, we won’t see a Pro+ version this time.
In other aspects, according to previous leaks, the Honor 80 Pro will come with a 200-megapixel main camera. We guess it will be Samsung’s HP1 CMOS. At the same time, the machine will also sport a 1.5K high-frequency dimming screen. We are talking about a top-end model. So the charging speed should be high. According to the previous leaks, this handset will support up to 100W fast charging solution. This is not the fastest-charging smartphone on the market, but it’s still better than most of the models in the segment.
This is not much information about the Honor 80 SE and the Honor 80, but we know that they will use straight-screen and curved-screen solutions, respectively.
We think the new Honor 80 series will be unveiled as early as the end of the month. So, we will get much more information about them in the coming days.
