Xiaomi’s ex-brand released a new series of cost-effective smartphones in late October. The new Redmi Note 12 lineup comes with several models, such as the standard variant, the Pro and Pro Plus, and the Discover Edition. The latter is considered the Pro+ with a few advantages. Obviously, the rest of the world is waiting for its turn to get the new models. However, it’s still unclear when the new phones will appear in other markets. For India, this, however, doesn’t cause any doubts. But we guess it will have a different name.

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ = Xiaomi Mi 12i HyperCharge
Xiaomi’s HyperCharge phones focus on providing ultra-fast charging speeds. For example, the Xiaomi mi 11i HyperCharge supports 120W fast charging. The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 12i HyperCharge will provide a 120W fast charge if the news is accurate. But if so, it would be better to release the Discovery Edition in India under this name because it supports 210W fast charging and can fully charge the phone’s 4300mAh battery in only 9 minutes. This is the world’s first smartphone that takes the charging speed to a single digit.
Anyway, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is the world’s first smartphone to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor. Plus, it comes with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX sensor. The latter uses a 1/1.4-inch outsole, 2.24μm 16in1 large pixels, large OIS (optical image stabilization) + flagship 7P coated lens, and supports three camera modes. We’d like to call it a flagship phone. But it is just a mid-ranger with a couple of features that reached the ceiling in the Android camp.
The machine has a built-in 5000mAh battery, which supports 120W fast charging. Due to the own-made Surge P1 chip, it can charge 100% in 19 minutes. Inside the box, we can also find a 120W gallium nitride charger. The domestic price starts at 2099 yuan ($289).
