In August this year, Motorola launched its latest folding-screen smartphone. The Moto Razr 2022 adopts a clamshell design, which makes it even more compact when folded. We mean it has some differences compared to the traditional inward or outward folding screen handsets. However, the phone has been available in China only. Yesterday, a whistleblower Roland Quandt disclosed some worthy information concerning its price in the European market.

The Moto Razr 2022 will cost more than 1,200 euros in Europe. This is much more than the Chinese version, which costs 5999 yuan (about 865 euros). The latter is for the basic model (8GB+128GB), while the high-end model (12GB+512GB) is priced at 7299 yuan (about 1050 euros). As a reminder, there is also another variant in the middle – the 8GB+256GB version costs 6499 yuan (about 940 euros).
As a comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 starts at 1100 euros (8GB+128GB), and the highest price is 1280 euros (8GB+512GB). The suggested retail price of the Huawei P50 Pocket is 1,400 euros – 1,600 euros, depending on the country. But this is an old model released last year (and it seems to be out of stock in Europe).
So it’s still foggy how Motorola will make competition with other foldable in the European market. But both externally and internally, it’s considered a very attractive smartphone. Moreover, there are tons of upgrades in comparison to its predecessor. For instance, the handset sports the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip inside. The older version released in 2019 came with the Snapdragon 710. The camera has got many improvements as well. The new model features a 6.7-inch 144Hz P-OLED built-in display. The company uses various advanced technologies. For example, one of them allows the phone to have a greatly reduced chin. This makes the phone look more outstanding.
Generally, this phone has all chances to make competition to others. But isn’t the price too high for it?
