Today, two well-known brands launched their new gaming Chromebooks. Both are good products to look at when searching for a new product in this category. Below, we introduce the selling points of the Acer Chromebook 516 GE and the IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook.

Acer Chromebook 516 GE Specs
This is the first gaming Chromebook of Acer. The Acer Chromebook 516 GE has a 12th-generation Intel Core i7 “P series” processor. In its turn, the processor is paired with 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD.
It has a large 16-inch 2560×1600 120Hz IPS display with narrow bezels. Also, the display parameters include a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 100% sRGB color gamut.
In other aspects, this notebook sports an RGB keyboard, a 2.5G network port, and supports Wi-Fi 6E. The interfaces include dual USB Type C, USB Type A, and HDMI.
The Acer Chromebook 516 GE laptop will be available in the United States in October, starting at $649.99.
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook Specs
Lenovo also launched its gaming Chromebook, namely the IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook. This Chromebook features a 12th-generation Core U-series processor. There are a few variants, including the i3-1215U and the i5-1235U processors. The chips are accompanied by 8GB LPDDR4x-4266 memory, optional 128GB eMMC flash storage, and 256/512GB M.2 PCI-E 2242 SSDs.
In terms of screen, this notebook has a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 resolution IPS screen, which supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB color gamut, and 350 nit brightness.
In other aspects, this notebook comes with a 1080p camera and a 71Whr battery, and the keyboard supports RGB lighting effects. There is a MicroSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook starts at $599 and is expected to be available in October 2022.
