Every month, AnTuTu, one of the most popular benchmark platforms, releases the list of best-performing smartphones. September was no exception. From the newly-published list, we can see that though the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip occupies nine out of ten positions, the winner is from another galaxy. It’s the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+.

When this chip was announced, we learned it would compete with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship platform. However, no one guessed that it would beat its main rival in AnTuTu.
Also, we can see that phones powered by the Dimensity 9000+, on average, scored 1,123,036 points. But more importantly, the ASUS ROG 6 that tops the list has a high running score and does a very good job in heat dissipation due to the exclusive cooling fan. The heat dissipation design of the body with a sunroof is the only one in the industry.
Except for the ROG 6, the Dimensity 9000+ flagship, the rest of the models on the list sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. For instance, in the second position, we can see the OnePlus Ace Pro with an average score of 1,111,200. The iQOO 10 Pro ranks third with an average score of 1,091,058.
We can also find the Red Magic 7S Pro with an under-screen camera on the list. Many might think this statement is odd, as ZTE and Samsung previously released similar handsets. But the thing is that it is a gaming smartphone. And it’s considered the only gaming smartphone sporting an in-screen camera. Anyway, there is also the Lenovo Legion Y70 (another gaming handset), iQOO 10, Motorola X30 Pro, Xiaomi 12S Pro, Redmi K50 Ultra, and Xiaomi MIX Fold 2. Thus, four out of ten come from the first-tier China-based tech company.
