Today, the Japanese tech giant Sharp released two new phones locally – AQUOS Sense 7 and AQUOS Sense 7 Plus.
Sharp has not announced how much they cost. So we will learn about them when going on sale. The Sense 7 Plus doesn’t differ much from the vanilla version. In fact, the Sense 7 Plus has a larger battery of 5050mAh. As a result, the weight and thickness are different, the screen is larger, and finally, the refresh rate reaches 240Hz.
AQUOS Sense 7
Under the hood, the phone hosts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor. It comprises 6GB of memory and 128GB of native storage. But you can expand it to 1TB via the card. The battery capacity is 4570mAh. Also, the handset boasts a 6.1-inch FHD+ IGZO OLED waterdrop screen, which has a 2432×1080 resolution and supports 1 billion colors.
The body dimensions are 152*70*8mm, and it weighs 158g. There is a dual camera, including a 50.3MP (1/1.55 inch) lens and an 8MP. The front camera has an 8MP camera. The rest of the specs include a 3.5mm headphone jack, IPX5/IPX8/IP6X waterproof and dustproof rating, NFC, and it is available in light copper, blue, and black colors.
AQUOS Sense 7 Plus
The chip and memory inside this model remain the same. But the battery reached 5050mAh, while the screen is 6.4 inches. However, it’s still the same IGZO OLED waterdrop screen. The resolution is 2340*1080 resolution, maximum brightness is 1300nit, and it supports 1 billion colors, 5 double video frame insertions, 240Hz drive (black frame insertion), up to 120Hz video frame insertion, and variable refresh rate.
In addition, the machine uses a 66% larger image sensor than the previous generation (same 1/1.55 inch). It comes with the new image quality engine “ProPix4” of the AQUOS R7. Due to the latter, the camera can suppress noise and capture delicate texture. The autofocus speed is twice faster as the previous model. The camera hardware is the same as that of the vanilla version.
This is a slightly bigger phone. That’s why the body size is 160*76*8.2mm, and it weighs 172g.
We should also mention that the machine sports stereo speakers, which can achieve the best sound in the history of AQUOS smartphones. Compared with the previous model, the average sound pressure in the bass region is about twice better, and the reproducible bandwidth is about 1.4 times larger.
