The starting price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 was set at 12999 Yuan (around $1837.55) and 7499 Yuan (about $1060). Despite recording a higher response than last year, it is unlikely that the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 will be able to reach the expectations of the manufacturer in terms of sales in 2022.
To report the news is SamMobile, according to which the forecasts of the Korean giant they spoke of 15 million leaflets shipped by the end of 2022.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 not meet the sales target
The company was betting everything on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4, the new entries in the range, but new industry estimates suggest that the count will stop at “only” 8 million units for its latest foldable smartphones by the end of the year. The figure is, in any case, increasing compared to the 7.1 million recorded during the same period last year, with an increase of 13%, but still lower than the expected 15 million.
The forecast comes directly from Noh Geun-chang, head of the Hyundai Motor Securities Research Center, who explained in a report that Samsung could sell 10 million leaflets in 2022, a figure that also includes the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Samsung’s TM Roh himself at the Galaxy Unpacked event also said the company was planning to sell 10 million leaflets in 2022.
However, the estimates obviously need to be revised downwards due to the global economic situation and the runaway inflation that has held back many users. Added to this are the high prices of the two devices, which are an important factor. However, the situation should improve in 2023: some estimates indicate that Samsung could ship 15 million leaflets.
