Rumor has it the next OnePlus flagship will make its debut before the end of the year, and now we’re getting an idea as to what’s under the hood, as a new leak divulges some core specs of OnePlus 11 Series.
According to a famous leakster “Digital Chat Station”, the OnePlus 11 series focuses on performance and texture, and the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 — a chip that is expected to be officially unveiled at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit in November.
The TSMC-manufactured SoC should help bolster its capabilities with its new Cortex-X3 core that can reportedly boost up to 3.5 GHz. It is to be paired with up to 16GB of (likely LPDDR5X) RAM, a paltry 256GB of (likely UFS 4.0) storage
At the same time, the OnePlus 11 series will also use a 2K flexible screen and a 100-watt flash-charged large battery. In terms of imaging, the Smartphones of this series have three rear cameras, of which the main camera is 50MP. However, the OnePlus 11 series does not have a periscope lens, nor does it have configurations such as a 1-inch super outsole.
Expected Launch Date of OnePlus 11 Series
That’s just China though. If we look at the previous global release schedules for the numbered OnePlus flagships (not counting the ‘T’ models, which launch later in the year), it works out like this:
- OnePlus 10 Pro – March 2022
- OnePlus 9 & 9 Pro – March 2021
- OnePlus 8 & 8 Pro – April 2020
So, if OnePlus holds to this new schedule, it would be March 2023 when we see the OnePlus 11 Series globally, but we might see it arrive in China as early as December 2022.
OnePlus 11 Pro Render
In addition, Last week, we got our first look at the OnePlus 11 Pro as leakster OnLeaks shared a render of the smartphone. This render shows that the OnePlus 11 Pro will use a curved screen with a punch hole in the upper-left corner, while the rear camera module has changed from the previous rectangle to a “half pill shape”.
According to a previous report, 91mobiles source Steve Hemmerstoffer said that the OnePlus 11 Pro will use a 6.7-inch hole-punch screen with a 16MP selfie camera. For regular photos and videos, you’ll get a 50MP primary camera on the 11 Pro’s back panel, joined by a 48MP ultrawide and a 32MP telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom. The camera system will also come with Hasselblad tuning.
