On April 25 this year, VIVO launched the X80 series of flagship phones. So the next-gen models are expected to come early next year. Thus, though there are still many months before it comes, today, some Chinese leakers revealed its screen parameters.
For instance, according to one of them, there are two display variants of the VIVO X90, namely a 1.5K resolution BOE screen and a 2K resolution E6 substrate Samsung (SDC) screen. Plus, the phones from this lineup will support high-frequency PWM dimming.
As for the rest of the features, the series will upgrade both photography and performance. Plus, we think the fast charging speed will be further increased. The only shortcoming of the series is going to be its secondary camera.
VIVO X90 Predecesor
On August 4 this year, the same blogger said that the VIVO X90 series is struggling to upgrade to 120W fast charging or popularize an 80W wired + 50W wireless charging solution. For reference, the VIVO X80 standard version came with a 4500mAh battery and 80W wired fast charging solution. But it didn’t support wireless charging. The VIVO X80 Pro has a built-in 4700mAh battery and supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
As for other features of the current generation, the VIVO X80 / Pro series starts at 3699 yuan ($528). Among them, the VIVO X80 sports the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip, 6.78-inch Samsung E5 1080P AMOLED hyperbolic screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a triple rear camera. The latter includes a 50MP main sensor (IMX866, RGBW, OIS, 1/1.49-inch output 1/1.56), a 12MP super wide-angle lens (IMX663), and a 12MP telephoto portrait lens (IMX663).
The higher Pro version came with the Snapdragon 8 / Dimensity 9000 chips, 6.78-inch Samsung E5 material 3200×1440 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen, and a rear quad-camera including a 50MP main camera (S5KGNV, OIS), a 48MP ultra-wide angle lens (IMX598), a 12MP telephoto portrait lens (IMX663, VIS micro head, 2x), and an 8MP periscope telephoto lens(hi847, OIS, 5x).
