Every year, China Telecom and Samsung jointly launch a flagship phone called “heart is the world.” It is based on one of the existing premium models but comes with deep customization. Its main target customers are mid- and high-level social elites in enterprises and institutions.
The campaign began back in 2008 when Samsung released the first high-end flagship mobile phone, the W699. In the same year, Samsung and China Telecom released a custom model based on it, of which the price exceeded 10,000 yuan ($1432).
Today, a Chinese leaker published a promo teaser for the W23 series. There will be two models, Samsung W23 and W23 Flip.
In terms of shape, the Samsung W23 is the customized and upgraded variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, while the Samsung W23 Flip is the customized and upgraded version of the clamshell Galaxy Z Flip 4.
As Samsung’s fourth-generation foldable mobile phone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 starts at 12,999 yuan ($1861). It sports a 6.2-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2316*904 and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. At the same time, the inner screen is 7.6 inches with a resolution of 2176 *1812 and a 120Hz variable refresh rate.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4’s frame and hinge cover are made of stronger “armored aluminum” material. It is also IPX8 waterproof.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 starts at 7499 yuan ($1074). It adopts a classic “flip” palm folding design. But unlike other similar models in the market, its 1.9-inch external screen has more functions. You can make calls, turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi without unfolding the phone, and you can also achieve a preview of the shot.
The inner screen is 6.7 inches in size. This AMOLED screen supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Simply put, it dynamically adjusts the refresh rate through the adaptive function to achieve a longer battery life experience.
