Republic of Gamers, aka ROG, will host a new product launch conference in a few days. Today, we learned that the brand would release a new gaming smartphone called the ROG 6 Dimensity Supreme Edition. (FYI, this phone is also known as the ROG Gaming Phone 6D.)
The ROG Gaming Phone 6D will come with MediaTek’s strongest flagship processor called the Dimensity 9000+. In AnTuTu, it scored 1.14 million points, of which the CPU score is close to 300,000, which is the highest CPU score in the Android camp. By the way, the phone has managed to appear in GeekBench as well.
Also, the main frequency of the Dimensity 9000+ super-large core Cortex-X2 is increased to 3.2GHz. But apart from this, there are three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.85GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores. The chip also integrates the Arm Mali-G710 MC10 graphics card. According to the official introduction, the CPU performance is improved by 5%, while the GPU performance is increased by 10%.
As you understand, the processor won’t be the only selling point of the ASUS ROG Gaming Phone 6D. It will sport a 6.78-inch straight screen with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. Thus, this handset will be the only smartphone in the market supporting a refresh rate higher than 120Hz. Other than that, it will come with an IMX766 outsole main camera, which supports 8K video shooting. The battery capacity is said to reach 6000mAh. This is a dual-cell solution, supporting 65W wired fast charging.
At the same time, the machine will use a matrix liquid cooling structure. Generally, the heat dissipation system will use aerospace-grade cooling material boron nitride to export CPU heat efficiently.
Previously, we have seen a promotional video showing that the ROG Gaming Phone 6D would have a part on the back shell that can be physically “opened.” In other words, you will open a window on the back of the phone to directly remove hot air.
