Previously, all phones/smartphones came with charging heads, cables, and headphones in the package. But in time, the manufacturers began canceling the inclusion of these accessories into the boxes. There are various reasons why this is happening. First, they want to protect the environment. Second, this is a new source of revenue. We mean, it’s one thing to include all these accessories and help customers save money, and quite another thing to earn on this and allow others to do the same. Anyway, whatever the reason is, more and more smartphone manufacturers have stopped including charging heads in new phones, and OPPO may be next.
As Android Police reports, at the OPPO Reno 8 series conference in Europe, an OPPO executive said: “We will cancel the charging head for several products next year, and there is currently a plan.” This is a clear statement that OPPO will follow the footprints of its rivals/friends and not to add charging heads into the boxes anymore.
“It’s not easy for consumers to get a SUPERVOOC charger. That’s why we had to put it in the box before. However, as we expand our business operations, we want to take the charging head out of the box and into the store so that users can still buy a charger and keep using it even after buying a new OPPO smartphone.”
Many smartphone manufacturers such as Apple, Xiaomi, and Huawei have canceled the charging head in some products. Due to such decisions, they not only protect the environment but also reduce the size of the packaging box. However, the transition methods of each company are also different.

As for OPPO’s SUPERVOOC, currently, it supports 150W output power. It even has a very popular slogan – “charging for five minutes, talking for two hours.” In this regard, recently, a Weibo blogger disclosed that OPPO is trial-producing a 24-volt 10-amp 240W charger in the evt (engineering verification test stage).
