It’s been about two years since we heard that Google will launch a Pixel foldable phone. If all the previous rumors are accurate, the upcoming handset will be called the Pixel Notepad. Today, 91mobiles published design patent pictures further confirming these leaks.
The source said that Google had applied to WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) in June this year for a patent related to a folding screen smartphone. As we can see, the design of the Pixel Notepad folding screen phone is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. We mean it adopts a horizontal inward folding design. However, in the patent image, the frame of the Google Pixel Notepad folding screen phone is wider. So we guess it will perform better than the current Galaxy foldable.
In addition, the folding screen phone in the patent places the selfie camera in the upper bezel instead of the under-screen camera design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
Earlier this month, we heard that the rear module of the Google Pixel folding screen engineering machine is similar to that of the Google Pixel 7. At the same time, the front is a bit like the OPPO Find N. The machine will adopt a relatively small-sized large screen with a horizontal inward folding design; the outer screen will have a single hole in the center; the inner screen will be a full screen without holes. The camera will be installed on the frame of the inner screen. now, we see that the blogger’s information is consistent with the patent. So the credibility is quite high.
Moreover, we knew that the Google Pixel Notepad folding screen phone would use a 5.8-inch external screen. In terms of imaging, the machine will come with a 12.2-megapixel IMX363 main camera, a 12-megapixel IMX386 sub-camera, and two 8-megapixel IMX355 selfie cameras.
