VIVO’s sub-brand has been promoting the new version of the iQOO Z6 for a long time. Today, the company uncovered two new phones in this series – iQOO Z6 and iQOO Z6x.
The older version was released in March this year.
iQOO Z6 Specs and Price
In its turn the iQOO Z6 is divided into three versions, 8+128GB, 8+256GB, and 12+256GB that cost 1699 yuan ($248), 1899 yuan ($277), and 2099 yuan ($306), respectively.
Under the hood, the iQOO Z6 sports a Snapdragon 778G Plus processor. Also, it uses the full-blood version UFS3.1 storage and full-blood version LPDDR5 (6400Mbps) memory. The 4500mAh battery supports 80W fast charging. The phone can charge to 50% in 10 minutes and to 100% in 30 minutes. It boasts a six-layer ice-sealed liquid cooling system. It is available in three colors: Black, Orange, and Blue.
On the front, it carries a 6.64-inch 2388×1080 LCD mid-hole screen. The latter supports a 120Hz refresh rate (30/45/48/50/60/90/120Hz seven-speed variable speed), 240Hz touch sampling rate, maximum brightness of 480 nits, 100% P3 color gamut, global DC dimming, and has passed the TÜV Rheinland full care 2.0 certification.
In terms of imaging, the machine uses an 8MP (Samsung S5K4H7) sensor on the front, a 64MP main camera (Samsung S5KGW3, OIS) + 2MP macro (Gecoway GC02M1) + 2MP depth of field (Howey OV02B10) on the rear. iQOO is the first to use the latter. The 64MP ultra-clear main camera also supports OIS (optical image stabilization).
In other aspects, the iQOO Z6 is 8.59mm thick, weighs 194.6g, has a built-in X-axis linear motor, and runs the OriginOS Ocean system. The phone has a side fingerprint recognition solution, NFC, AI bilingual subtitles, etc.
iQOO Z6x Specs and Price
The iQOO Z6x is available in three versions as well: the price of 6GB+128GB is 1199 yuan ($175), the price of 8GB+128GB is 1399 yuan ($204), and the price of 8GB+256GB is 1599 yuan ($233).
One of the highlights of the iQOO Z6x is the battery life. The machine comes with a large 6000mAh battery. As the company proves, the iQOO Z6x can play music for up to 115.2 hours, provide navigation for up to 18.5 hours, and play videos for up to 18 hours.
In addition, iQOO Z6x also supports memory fusion 2.0 technology, which is a memory optimization technology created by iQOO. It innovatively integrates RAM and ROM through algorithm optimization and directly calls part of the idle ROM space for RAM operation.
For example, on a mobile phone with 8GB of memory, the memory fusion technology can make 8GB of memory equivalent to 11GB of memory.
In terms of hardware, the iQOO Z6x adopts an LCD eye protection screen, MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, a rear 50MP main camera, Thunder speakers, and supports 44W wired flash charging.
There is a five-layer liquid cooling system, which consists of a “super liquid cooling heat pipe + multi-layer three-dimensional graphite sheet + high conductive copper foil + thermal conductive gel + 6 temperature sensors”.
We should also mention that the iQOO Z6x is pre-installed with OriginOS, and the system provides 7 types of security protection, including sensitive information protection, environmental privacy protection, permission protection, loss protection, sharing privacy protection, anti-fraud protection, application protection, and more.
The new products will go on sale on September 1.
