Earlier today, Motorola held a new product launch conference and uncovered three smartphones. Apart from the much-awaited Moto Razr 2022, the manufacturer also brought the Motorola S30 Pro and the Motorola X30 Pro.
Motorola X30 Pro
As you know, this is the world’s first smartphone to come with a 200MP camera. The latter is Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 CMOS, coming with a 1/1.22-inch sensor, an f/1.95 aperture, OIS, and 16-in-1 pixel binning. After binning, the resolution will become 12.5MP. However, it still can take 50MP phones with 1.28μm individual pixels or even natively at 200MP with 0.64μm pixels. The camera is capable of recording 8K videos at 30fps.
Apart from this outstanding lens, there is also a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto lens which supports 2x optical zoom. On the front, we have a 60MP selfie shooter.
The handset also boasts of a curved 6.67-inch OLED screen, which has an FHD+ resolution as well as a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel’s brightness reaches 1,200 nits, and it also supports HDR10+.
Of course, this is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 handset, which offers various storage combinations of 8/12GB RAM and 128/256 or 512GB storage. The phone leaves the factory with MyUI 4.0 onboard.
The 4,610mAh battery inside supports 125W wired fast charging (0-100% in 19 minutes) and 50W wireless fast charging via an optional Motorola wireless charger.
You can choose from black and white colors. The 8+128GB variant costs CNY 3,699 ($548), while the 12 +512GB model costs CNY 4,499 ($668). The sales have already begun.
Motorola S30 Pro
There are not many things to say about the Motorola S30 Pro. For instance, the phone sports a Snapdragon 888+ chip and a curved 6.55” OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate support. The camera section is not as impressive as that of the previous model. It comes only with a 50MP main camera (Omnivision OV50A) supporting OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie shooter has a 32MP resolution.
The Moto S30 Pro runs Android 12 with MyUI 4.0 on top. The 4,400mAh battery supports 68W fast charging.
There are two colors of black and blue. By the way, the latter features a faux leather finish.
The 8 + 128GB version costs CNY 1,999 ($326), while the top-end 12 + 512GB variant is CNY 2,899 ($430).
