MSI has launched its first Intel Arc A380 graphics card in a low-profile form factor. The launch of MSI’s Intel Arc A380 graphics card makes it the third manufacturer to offer an Intel Arc GPU in its discrete graphics lineup. The card has a special circuit board designed specifically for small form factor PCs. So far, we have seen Arc AIB designs from GUNNIR and ASRock.
The Arc A380 is now available with MSI’s pre-built PC
The GPU is based on the Alchemist ACM-G11 SKU with 8 Xe cores or 1024 ALUs clocked at 2000MHz. The card is rated at 75W TDP, requires a 350W power supply, and has one HDMI 2.0b port and three DisplayPort 2.0 ports (with DSC). There is 6GB of GDDR6 memory, the highest we’ve seen on an entry-level card of this generation, with a data rate of 15.5Gbps giving up to 185GB/s of bandwidth, and because it’s all designed in ITX form. factor, its dimensions are 172 x 75 x 38 mm.
As for the card itself, it supports a tiny black-shrouded cooler that houses two small fans, each with 11 blades. They push air towards the internal heatsink, which is made up of several aluminum heatsinks. The MSI Intel Arc A380 graphics card is only available with a full PC, so you end up paying around $550 for an entry-level configuration that gets you a card with a Core i3-10105F, H510M Bomber DDR4, 16GB DDR4-3200, solid state 512GB M.2 NVMe drive, MAG A550BN power supply, all in MSI MAG Laevatein 100L case.
The listing of MSI’s Intel Arc A380 graphics card also seems to put an end to current rumors that AIB will not offer Intel Arc graphics cards. With that said, there’s also an Arc A310 that will be offered with pre-built MSI PCs.
