Recently, the OPPO Watch 3 series has been on everyone’s lips. The reason is that this watch is going to be the world’s first smartwatch sporting the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 wearable platform. The watch is expected to be released in August.
Today, a Weibo leaker disclosed the two-color render of the OPPO Watch 3 smartwatch. From the photos, we can see that the appearance changes greatly. The dial adopts a hyperbolic micro-arc design and supports a 3D curved screen, a 3D rotating crown, and a textured leather strap.
Prior to this, we learned that the OPPO Watch 3 series will come with a 1.91-inch AMOLED LTPO square dial with a 3D micro-arc hyperbola + rotating crown design. Thus, the renders are in line with the previously-leaked information.
Anyway, the biggest highlight of the OPPO Watch 3 series will be the Snapdragon W5 wearable flagship chip and the Apollo4 Plus sports flagship chip. The chip is manufactured with a 4nm process, and the coprocessor is made of a 22nm process. It supports multiple functions such as audio, Wi-Fi, GNSS navigation, and positioning of low-power islands, and also supports deep sleep, hibernation, and other modes.
The watch will support ECG, eSIM, NFC, and 5ATM waterproof rating. As we are talking about a standalone smartwatch, it’s reasonable to know how well it will perform in terms of endurance. According to the official introduction, when used normally it will last 15 days, but when used heavily, the battery life will be only 5 days.
Before this, we learned that the OPPO Watch 3 series will hit the market on August 10. It has three models of OWW211/212/213. They all support eSIM technology with independent eUICC chips. Also, we knew that they will be available in black, silver, dark gray, light gold, and other colors. The watches will run the company’s own ColorOS Watch system, which will get major upgrades.
