Today, OnePlus published a mobile phone design patent, which is exactly the same as the previously spotted OnePlus 10 Ultra. However, these are our assumptions as the company hasn’t announced this model yet.
In the patent documentation, we can read that the category of this product is “mobile phone”, and the purpose it is: mainly used for mobile communication, multimedia playback, and data processing. However, we are not interested much in the description. What we’d like to talk about is appearance.
Prior to this, a whistleblower @Yogesh Brar stated that the new OnePlus 10 Ultra will be further upgraded on the basis of the previous OnePlus 10 Pro. Moreover, the main upgrade point is going to be the camera.
The machine is expected to use a periscope lens. Thus, it might become the company’s first smartphone with a periscope camera. Combined with the design drawings, the camera module will continue the design idea of the previous models. The left side of the module is directly connected to the middle frame, and it contains 3 lenses. Among them, we can clearly see the square periscope lens below.
In other aspects, the new OnePlus 10 Ultra will be equipped with the newly upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship processor. As you know, unlike the vanilla version, it uses TSMC’s 4nm process. At the same time, the machine may also have a Dimensity 9000+ processor version. But we have no information about this variant.
Prior to this, we have heard the new OnePlus 10 Ultra will be announced in the second half of the year. But there is no concrete launch date known at the moment.
As a reminder, the company will launch another flagship these months in face of the OnePlus 10T. But we guess the Ultra will compete with other camera phones such as the Xiaomi Mi 12S Ultra, while the OP10T will compete with the Xiaomi Mi 12S and the likes.
