OnePlus’ co-founder Car Pei has another company, namely Nothing. The first phone from this brand has been scheduled to come our way on July 12. Everything happened according to plan. And as we knew almost everything concerning the features and appearance of the Nothing Phone (1), let’s just summarize.
The Nothing Phone (1) is a classic mid-ranger in terms of specifications. But the company has decided to put emphasis on the user experience, software, and appearance rather than hardware. Before we start listing the biggest highlights of the handset, you should know that this device will be available in India, Europe, and some Asian markets. Thus, it will not go to North America including USA and Canada.
Key Features
The Nothing Phone (1) sports a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. Its back panel is transparent and uses a Glyph interface. We mean there is a set of LED lights on the rear panel. You can easily customize them. On both sides, the handset carries Gorilla Glass protection.
Under the hood, we have a Snapdragon 778G+ processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB native storage.
The Nothing Phone (1) features a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging, 15 wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. But there is no charging head in the package. If you want to acquire the official 45W charging brick, it can be yours for Rs 2,499 ($31).
In terms of software, the device runs on Nothing OS based on Android 12.
When it comes to the camera department, there are some interesting features we have to take look at. For instance, the Nothing Phone (1) sports two 50MP lenses on the back. One is the Sony IMX766 CMOS while the other is the Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle lens. On the opposite side, we have a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie shooter.
The rest of the noteworthy features include dual-band Wi-Fi, a dual speaker setup, an under-display fingerprint scanner, etc.
The Nothing Phone (1) is sold in three variants:

- 8GB+256GB – Rs 35,999 ($452);
- 12GB+256GB – Rs 38,999 ($490).
The phone has two colors of Black and White options. They are already available for booking and will go on sale on July 21.
