Today, following the schedule, Nubia took wraps off the new gaming smartphones series, namely the Red Magic 7S. The lineup includes three models – the vanilla version, the Pro version, and the Red Magic 7S Pro Hornet Limited Edition
This series is also known for the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. But there are many upgrades over the previous generation that make the lineup stand out. For instance, the Red Magic 7S Pro comes with the new ICE magic cooling system that boasts of 20,000 RPM. Due to good cooling performance, the frame rate stability is improved by 60%.
Red Magic 7S Pro Features
Compared with the Red Magic 7 Pro launched in April, the configuration and heat dissipation of the Red Magic 7S Pro have been upgraded. At the same time, the new phone series comes with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash storage. Due to such a configuration, it could cross the market of 1,15 mln points in AnTuTu.
In terms of heat dissipation, the Red Magic 7S Pro comes with the latest ICE 10.0 magic cooling system, with 10 layers of cooling technology, including 2 active cooling fans, which increase the wind pressure by 35%.
Besides the smooth performance and cooling, the Red Magic 7S Pro also focuses on strengthening the game frame rate stabilization technology. So it comes with a MAGIC GPU self-developed frame stabilization engine. The latter includes a five-layer rendering buffer, rendering imaging synchronization, Magic Write magic sketch, and TC frame supplementation. The frame rate stability can be improved by 60%.
Also, the Red Magic 7S Pro shows off an under-display camera. It’s one of those rare phones that sport this technology. As a result, it is called a genuine full-screen smartphone with a ratio of 100%. Also, it supports heart rate monitoring.
As for screen parameters, the Red Magic 7S Pro features a 6.8-inch AMOLED ultra-clear gaming full screen, which comes with a 20:9 display ratio, support for DCI-P3 100% wide color gamut, 2400*1080 ultra-high-definition resolution, crystal diamond arrangement, up to 165Hz screen refresh rate, and 720Hz screen multi-touch sampling rate. The response time is only 7.4 milliseconds.
The manufacturer didn’t forget about eye care. The Red Magic 7S Pro supports LTM dimming, DC dimming, and has passed the SGS low blue light eye protection certification.
The front camera of the Red Magic 7S Pro is 16 megapixels. On the opposite side, we have a 64-megapixel main + 2-megapixel macro + 8-megapixel wide-angle triple camera combination.
The battery capacity of the Pro version is 5000mAh. It supports the industry’s first 135W magic flash fast charging, which can achieve a 100% full charge in 15 minutes. At the same time, it also comes with the industry’s first 165W gallium nitride charger.
The Red Magic 7 Pro has three colors: Deuterium Front Transparent Silver Wing Edition, Deuterium Front Transparent Shadow Edition, and Night Knight. The Dark Knight 12+256GB version is priced at 5,199 yuan ($774), and the Deuterium Front Transparent Shadow Edition 12+256GB version is priced at 5299 yuan ($789), 16+512GB version is priced at 5999 yuan ($893).

Red Magic 7S Specs
This phone is basically the same as the one we were talking about above. But there are some differences as well. Say, instead of the new cooling system, the vanilla version comes with the ICE9.0 magic cooling system. Compared with the Red Magic 7S Pro, there is one less layer of composite phase change material.
Also, the battery capacity of this model is 4500mAh and it supports 120W fast charging. So the charging time is 2 minutes longer, 17 minutes.
Another difference is the front-facing camera. Now, it has an 8MP resolution.
The Red Magic 7S has two colors: Shadow Knight and Deuterium Front Transparent.
The Dark Knight 8+128GB is priced at 3999 yuan ($596) and the 12+256GB model is 4799 yuan ($715), while the Deuterium Front transparent version 12+256GB costs 4899 yuan ($730) and the 16+512GB variant comes at 5499 yuan ($819).
Red Magic 7S Pro Hornet Limited Edition
Apart from the two variants above, the company also uncovered the “Transformers” version, namely the Red Magic 7S Pro Hornet Limited Edition Collection set.
Bumblebee is one of the most popular characters in “Transformers”. His appearance and popularity in the movie are higher than that of Optimus Prime and Megatron. Even Hollywood has specially filmed the “Bumblebee” movie.
The packaging is different from those of Optimus Prime and Megatron. It adopts a new design, incorporates the hexagonal design of the honeycomb, and is equipped with the classic yellow of the bumblebee.
The package is equipped with a deeply customized Red Magic 7S Pro phone, a turbo cooling back clip, a 165W gallium nitride charger, and a data cable, a thermally conductive protective case, a genuine authorized badge, and a card pin.
